SMS Terms & Conditions

Ren Seafoods uses SMS messaging to provide employees with company and workplace-related notifications.

Depending on the employee's enrollment and applicable communications, messages may include:

​

• Work schedule notifications

• Work schedule changes

• Plant operating-time changes

• Shift or reporting-time notifications

• HR announcements

• Company announcements

• Workplace notifications

• Operational updates

• Other important employee-related communications

The SMS Program is intended for informational and operational communications and is not intended to send advertising or promotional offers for products or services.

Participation in the Ren Seafoods SMS Program is voluntary.

By providing your mobile phone number and separately selecting or otherwise providing an affirmative opt-in to receive SMS messages, you authorize Ren Seafoods to send SMS messages to the mobile number you provided for the purposes described in these SMS Terms.

Your consent applies to the Ren Seafoods SMS Program and the types of employee communications described above.

​

Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

​

Where applicable, employees may choose not to participate in the SMS Program without affecting their ability to access other available company communication methods.

Ren Seafoods may collect SMS consent through an employee communication or enrollment process in which the employee is clearly informed that they are agreeing to receive SMS messages from Ren Seafoods.

The SMS consent request will identify Ren Seafoods as the sender and explain the types of messages that may be sent.

​

SMS consent will be recorded by Ren Seafoods, including information necessary to demonstrate when and how consent was obtained.

​

Providing a telephone number alone does not constitute consent to receive recurring SMS messages where an affirmative opt-in is required.

Message frequency may vary depending on operational requirements, employee schedules, company announcements, and other workplace communications.

Some employees may receive multiple messages in a week, while others may receive fewer messages.

​

Ren Seafoods does not guarantee a specific number of messages or a specific frequency of messages.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and wireless plan.

Ren Seafoods does not control charges imposed by your mobile carrier.

​

Employees should contact their wireless carrier if they have questions regarding their mobile messaging plan or applicable charges.

​SMS Opt-In and Opt-Out form practices

Please note that opting out of SMS does not necessarily remove you from other Ren Seafoods communication channels, such as email, workplace communication systems, or direct communication from management or HR.

When contacting Ren Seafoods for SMS support, please provide enough information for us to identify the messaging issue without unnecessarily including sensitive personal information.

You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time.

​

Withdrawal of consent will not affect the validity of messages previously sent or communications that were sent before your opt-out request was processed.

​

Once your opt-out request has been processed, Ren Seafoods will not send additional recurring SMS messages through the SMS Program unless you subsequently provide valid consent to receive them again.

Ren Seafoods may collect and process information necessary to operate the SMS Program, including your mobile telephone number, consent status, opt-in date, opt-out status, and information relating to SMS communications.

Information collected for the SMS Program will be handled in accordance with Ren Seafoods' Privacy Policy.

Your SMS consent is specific to the Ren Seafoods SMS Program and will not be treated as consent to receive unrelated marketing or promotional messages from other organizations.

Ren Seafoods will not sell, rent, or transfer your SMS consent to another organization for that organization's own messaging or marketing purposes.

Your consent to receive Ren Seafoods SMS messages is specific to Ren Seafoods and the SMS Program described in these Terms.

Messages sent through the SMS Program will identify Ren Seafoods as the sender or otherwise provide sufficient information to identify Ren Seafoods as the organization sending the communication.

SMS messages may contain information related to your employment, work schedule, workplace operations, company announcements, HR communications, and other employee-related operational information.

Ren Seafoods will not use the SMS Program to send unrelated promotional or third-party advertising messages.

You are responsible for maintaining control of the mobile phone and telephone number associated with your SMS enrollment.

If your mobile telephone number changes, you should notify Ren Seafoods through the appropriate employee communication or HR process.

​

If you transfer your mobile number to another person, you should notify Ren Seafoods so that the number can be removed or updated in the SMS Program.

Ren Seafoods does not guarantee that every SMS message will be delivered immediately or successfully.

​

Message delivery may be affected by mobile carriers, wireless networks, geographic coverage, network congestion, device limitations, technical problems, maintenance, or other circumstances outside Ren Seafoods' reasonable control.

​

Employees should not rely exclusively on SMS for emergency communications or situations requiring immediate assistance.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

​

Ren Seafoods is not responsible for delays or failures in message delivery caused by wireless carriers, telecommunications networks, device problems, network interruptions, or other circumstances outside Ren Seafoods' reasonable control.

Ren Seafoods may modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Program or portions of the SMS Program when reasonably necessary.

If the types of messages sent through the SMS Program materially change, Ren Seafoods may request additional or renewed consent where required by applicable law, regulation, carrier requirements, or messaging policies.

Ren Seafoods may update these SMS Terms from time to time.

​

The updated version will be posted on the applicable Ren Seafoods website or employee communication resource and will include an updated effective date.

​

Where required, Ren Seafoods will obtain additional consent before making material changes to the SMS Program.

SMS is one method of employee communication.

​

Depending on the nature of the communication, Ren Seafoods may also communicate information through other available channels, including email, workplace systems, employee portals, management, supervisors, HR, posted notices, or other company communication methods.

​

Opting out of SMS does not necessarily eliminate the employee's responsibility to review other company communications.

By separately and affirmatively opting in to the Ren Seafoods SMS Program, you acknowledge that you have reviewed these SMS Terms & Conditions and agree to receive SMS messages from Ren Seafoods for the purposes described above.

Your SMS consent is separate from your acceptance of these SMS Terms & Conditions and must be provided through the designated SMS enrollment process.
