About the Role
Direct leads activities focusing on production needs by performing the duties listed below or through directing others. Ensure all production activities are met and assume responsibilities when a lead is absent.
- Direct line leads production tasks based on daily production.
- Monitor given room on staff attendance, time clock awareness, daily productivity, etc.
- Assists with training new hires. (Includes and is not limited to approving vacation, correcting missed punches, creating schedules, etc.)
- Understand how to build a production plan and where to locate the information.
- Understand how each machine operates and able to give detailed instructions on how to use each machine.
- Assists QA with monitoring product quality, styling of product in trays, product flow, etc.
Requirements
2+ years of employment with The REN Group or with a food processing company, preferably in the seafood industry.
Excellent management skills, communications skills, verbal and written and attitude.
Basic Math Skills
Be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours a day in cold and wet environments.
Working knowledge of GMP’s, Safety programs, and Lean Manufacturing
Trained in HACCP and general understanding of Quality Assurance
Weekend and overtime work as needed.
